[RACISM] Gotham's Police Commissioner Gordon shines Virtue Signal in solidarity with protesters

On night ten of the anti-racism protests which have enveloped the country, Gotham's Commissioner Gordon, used the opportunity to draw attention away from the heavy-handed tactics of his police force.

Riot police shepherding the protesters down Wayne Ave were quick to use the same hands that brutally beat and arrest petty-criminals, to point out the overhead signal which purported to show solidarity with their victims.

Portions of the crowd welcomed the act of conciliation and applauded until they were drowned out by the vast majority and accused of being 'swine apologists'.

"No forgiveness!" screamed a white woman identifying herself as Harley. "For too long we've been treated worse than animals in these streets! Arrest yourselves!"

Local botanist, Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, used her megaphone to respond to the police gesture saying, "Why doesn't Commissioner Gordon come down here and take a knee. And then another. And then suck his own dick!"

The crowd roared in approval and marched on towards city hall chanting similar slurs including, "Gordon sucks bat-dick!" and "Goth' lives matter!"

Many protesters, even before the march, called out the police's favourite blunt instrument of justice, Batman, as "part of the problem".

Protest organiser, Selina Kyle, has condemned the excessive force often employed by Batman at the whim of the commissioner.

"I've seen Batman and I may not know who he really is but I can tell you that he's an angry, white boomer. I watched him crush a black shoplifter's skull into a brick wall and fly away like it was just another Tuesday night in 1776."

"Why does the Gotham police force need this instrument of war? Tell me why? I really wanna know why one of the best funded police forces in this country needs to call a rich, white vigilante on steroids with military grade weapons to battle its own citizens?"

"I'll tell you why. It's because they don't want to get their hands dirty. They don't want to be caught on camera oppressing black people so they send in someone else. Someone who loves doing it!"

Problematic

We reached out to the Batman for comment but as of publishing have had no reply.

Earlier this week alien-god, Superman was called out for virtue-signalling on Instagram when he posted the now infamous black square as a show of solidarity with the African-American community.

Critics were quick to point out examples of his violent treatment of suspected criminals, especially those of colour, who "were effortlessly back-handed into the afterlife without any investigation, legal representation or due process."

"Are we even surprised?" asked a reformed Lex Luthor. "He grew up on a farm in Kansas after all."
